Mark your calendar and join us for an action-packed getaway at the Vodacom Hippo Hollow Challenge. Explore spectacular scenery along the Sabie River during the annual Vodacom Hippo Hollow MTB Challenge held at Elephant Whispers in Hazyview.
The annual race is characterised by lush, unspoilt surroundings with single tracks along the Sabie River giving way to indigenous forests and macadamia plantations, offering views that make this race one not to miss.
The 2020 Vodacom Hippo Hollow Challenge has 4 cycling events – a 60km, 40km, 19km and an 8km distance.
The name “Hazyview” aptly describes the hazy, lazy days during summers, typical of the African Bushveld whilst on Safari.
Hazyview is central to the Kruger Lowveld Region of Mpumalanga, South Africa and is located amongst sub-tropical fruit orchards, close to the renowned Kruger National Park.
Hazyview is a lush, green sub-tropical farming town in Mpumalanga, South Africa and is renowned for its large banana and macadamia nuts industries, contributing about 20% of South Africa’s bananas and 30% of macadamia output.
